Darlene Yow, aka, Darlene May

The Father’s Daughter

A dreamy dreamer with loads of thoughts floating through my    head is an easy way to describe me.   But with those thoughts and my maiden name as an incentive, I’ve developed Yowbaby, Inc.   By providing brand name products and wonderful stories from  FINALLY putting my thoughts on paper, this gives me the opportunity to help bring awareness to and raise money for Epilepsy, a condition that my father suffered with.

Through my stories, I hope to bring lots of enjoyment to everyone, if only for a little bit.   My ex-husband would tell me how things must be really great in my world.  How little he knew what an incentive that would be.  Well, this is my world, my visonary world, and things are quite great and interesting and I am glad you’re here.

In my real world, I was born in Dallas, Texas and resided there until the age of two when  my parents, a sister and two brothers relocated and moved to Cache, Oklahoma.

When my sister was born, she had a hole in her heart that did not close and passed away at the age of seven.   Eventually, my parents divorced.  Soon after, my father gained custody of his three little sweeties  (two sons and a daughter now) and moved us to Lawton, Oklahoma.  Unfortunately, my mother became a long distance truck driver, leaving behind her children for her new, single life, but we survived.  They say, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.”

In 1987 I started court reporting school temporarily before the marriage bug got me and dropped out in 1988.   It took eight years to be able to return to school, but in 1998 I became a court reporter and have been reporting for over 20 years.   My career has offered me the ability to  work all across the United States taking advantage of the many different opportunities being a court reporter brings.

In my spare time, I love being with my wonderful family and their very silly pets, playing piano, reading books, gardening, feeding the birds and everything about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.  So far I’ve published one cookbook “The Keepers” and am now working on my first novel due out Winter 2022.

I’m very thrilled you’ve taken the time to visit my website.  I hope you enjoy visiting Yowbaby’s World.   I truly thank you so much for taking a moment out of your day to come and share it with me.
